The 69036/90 Series Double-Thickness Spalter is the ideal professional tool for anyone who needs to cover large surfaces quickly and precisely without compromising finish quality. The blend of selected pure blonde bristles and polyester fibre combines the absorbency and softness of natural bristles with the solvent resistance and durability of synthetic fibre, offering a versatile, long-lasting brush suitable for many types of product.

The double thickness of the brush head is the structural feature that sets this spalter apart from conventional tools. It allows a greater amount of product to be loaded with each stroke, reducing reloading times and significantly increasing application speed on large surfaces such as walls, ceilings, panels, and undercoats. The result is an even, continuous application with a smooth finish that requires no further work.

The epoxy resin that secures the fibres to the B.S. ferrule prevents bristle loss during use, even with aggressive products. The unfinished wooden handle provides a natural and comfortable grip, balancing the weight of the tool even during longer work sessions.

Suitable for applying wall paints, primers, impregnators, varnishes, enamels, and solvent-based products thanks to the fibres' good chemical resistance.

Before use with water-based paints, slightly moisten the bristles with water to help the product absorb initially. For solvent-based paints, no pre-treatment is necessary.
Dip the spalter into the product to about halfway up the length of the bristles, lightly tap it on the edge of the container to remove the excess, and apply it to the surface with long, parallel, even strokes. The double thickness provides greater loading capacity: take advantage of this feature, while still avoiding overloading the bristles, which could cause drips on vertical surfaces.
For glazes and decorative finishes, work with light pressure and cross strokes to distribute the product evenly, then finish with strokes in the desired direction.
At the end of the job, wash the spalter immediately with plenty of water for water-based paints, or with the solvent specified for the product used. Clean thoroughly from the base of the bristles to the tips, removing all product residue before it hardens. Do not leave the wooden handle immersed in water to prevent deterioration.
