Surface preparation:
The substrate must be clean, dry, free of rust, dust, and grease.
Bare metal must be pretreated to improve corrosion resistance (e.g. bare steel, etc.).

Application:
Shake the can approximately 40 times before use.
Cover adjacent surfaces to protect them from overspray.
Hold the can upright. At room temperature, spray Sikagard®-6220 S onto the surface from a distance of about 25 cm, or into the cavity using the additional flexible nozzle provided. Use existing access points or specially drilled holes in the bodywork.
Spray the product in regular layers.
Avoid brake parts, engine, or exhaust system.
After application, invert the can and release short, quick sprays to empty the nozzle.
Since the propellant gas is flammable, ventilate the cavities during drying or before sealing them.
Removal:
Unhardened Sikagard®-6220 S can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika® Remover-208 or another suitable solvent. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Hands and skin should be washed immediately using hand cleaning wipes (e.g. Sika® Cleaner-350H) or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents on the skin!
Overpainting:
Sikagard®-6220 S cannot be overpainted.
