Sikagard-6220 is an amber colored hard wax with very good anti-rust properties..
It is suitable for effective corrosion protection in vehicle body cavities and has outstanding application properties and very good final performance. Thanks to its high sliding capacity, it also protects areas that are difficult to access and narrow sheet metal gaps well.
After drying, a slightly tacky brown wax coating remains which protects the cavity areas from corrosion.
Sikagard-6220 is a spray applied anti-corrosion coating for the repair and protection of hidden areas of vehicles such as door trim cavities, side panels, bonnets, trunks, rear wing, sills, cross members and pillars..
The product can be sprayed without a mist, capable of penetrating the finest crevices, but will not drip through drainage holes.
Sikagard-6220 shows very good adhesion on different paints, metallic primers, metals and PVC without any pre-treatment..

Disposal:
Jar: FE40 - Iron Collection
Cap: HDPE2 - Plastic collection.
Recycle only if perfectly clean and empty.
Otherwise recycle on special ecological centers.

Prevention:
P210 Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. Not smoking.

Reaction:
P303 + P361 + P353 IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin.
P304 + P340 + P312 IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell.
P370 + P378 In case of fire: Use dry sand, dry chemical or alcohol resistant foam to extinguish.

The substrate must be clean, dry, free of rust, dust, and grease.
Bare metal must be pretreated to improve corrosion resistance (e.g. bare steel, etc.).

Application:
Sikagard®-6220 can be applied with an airless spray gun or air mix spray gun at a pressure of about 3 - 6 bar, using the Sika® CW Gun (with a pressure tank).
Shake the can approximately 40 times before use.
Cover adjacent surfaces to protect them from overspray.
At room temperature, spray Sikagard®-6220 onto the surface from a distance of about 25 cm or into the cavity with a flexible nozzle. Use existing access points or specially drilled holes in the bodywork.
Spray the product in regular layers.
Avoid brake parts, engine, or exhaust system.
Removal:
Unhardened Sikagard®-6220 can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika® Remover-208 or another suitable solvent. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Hands and skin should be washed immediately using hand cleaning wipes (e.g. Sika® Cleaner-350H) or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents on the skin!
Overpainting:
Sikagard®-6220 cannot be overpainted.
