Sika® Remover-208 is used for the preliminary cleaning of heavily contaminated non-porous substrates. Sika® Remover-208 can be used to clean painted surfaces before bonding, to remove excess non-cured Sikaflex® adhesive or sealant from application tools or dirty surfaces.
Remove most of the Sikaflex® residue with a knife or spatula. Dampen a cloth or rag with Sika® Remover-208 and remove any remaining adhesive or sealant.
Surface cleaning:
Clean painted surfaces with a cloth or rag dampened with Sika® Remover-208. Dampen a paper towel with the solvent by pouring the liquid onto the cloth. Never immerse the paper towel in Sika® Remover-208 as it may contaminate it! Clean the surface with the damp paper towel. Regularly use new paper towels to maintain cleaning power.
Before the solvent dries on the surface (evaporates), wipe it off with a clean, dry, non-linting paper towel.
Repeat the last two steps until no contaminants appear on the white paper towel.
Do not use on sensitive surfaces such as fresh paint.
Seal the container tightly immediately after each use.
