Sika® Primer-209 D is a black solvent-based primer that reacts with moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between substrates and adhesives. Sika® Primer-209 D is specifically formulated for the treatment of surfaces to be bonded before the application of Sika one-component polyurethanes. This primer may provide excellent adhesion without prior activation steps on certain plastic substrates.

Sika® Primer-209 D is used to improve adhesion on many plastics and painted surfaces such as GRP, epoxy resins, PVC, ABS, PMMA, PC, PS, and acrylics, alkyd/melamine, powder coatings, and baked paints. Due to the wide variety of plastic materials, it is mandatory to conduct preliminary tests on original substrates under production conditions.
