SIGILL Siliblack Black Silicone Sealant High Temperatures 60ml

Siliblack is a thixotropic silicone sealant, anti-corrosive, low volatility, single-component, room temperature curing. It forms a seal resistant to high temperatures that contains no solvents and does not shrink. It withstands temporary contact with fuels, mineral oils, and antifreeze. The self-dispensing pressurized bottles are designed to easily reach complex positions while limiting the need for disassembly.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Designed primarily for the sealing of flanges with good resistance to engine oil and to withstand high joint movement requirements such as for stamped sheet metal covers, timing covers, and oil pans. Seals joints in replacement of any traditional pre-formed gasket. Ideal for sealing, bonding, and protecting applications in air conditioning, electrical, and metalworking facilities. Adheres to metal, glass, silicone, natural ceramic fiber, and painted surfaces.

APPLICATION

To achieve maximum performance in terms of adhesion, the surfaces involved must be dry and clean; in particular, to remove grease or oil, degreasing solvents can be used. It adheres to most surfaces (aluminum, even anodized, glass, ceramic). In the presence of adhesion problems on particular surfaces, it is advisable to consult the manufacturer for the choice of a specific Primer. The product is not paintable. Once opened, the containers must be used within a relatively short time. Siliblack should not be used for the assembly of double-glazed units and is not recommended for applications in insulating or structural glazing, for sealing aquariums, or for long-term underwater use. Not suitable for food contact applications; in this case, use S-Sil Food, certified ANSI 51.
