Mapei Mapetherm AR1 GG is a single-component coarse-grained cementitious mortar designed for bonding and smoothing thermal insulation panels in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). Its formulation based on cement, selected sands, synthetic resins, polypropylene fibres and special additives ensures high adhesion, excellent workability and mechanical strength, making it ideal for professional applications both indoors and outdoors. Mixed with water, the product becomes a thixotropic mortar that can also be applied vertically without dripping and without causing insulation boards to slide, even large-format ones.
Mapetherm AR1 GG is suitable for bonding and reinforced smoothing of EPS, XPS, PIR, mineral wool, cork, wood fibre and other insulating materials used in modern external insulation systems. The product offers excellent adhesion to cement plasters, masonry, concrete and traditional building surfaces, ensuring controlled hardening without noticeable shrinkage and good breathability of the substrate.
