Mapei Mapepur Waterstop Foam M Waterproof Polyurethane Foam 750 ml

Mapei Mapepur Waterstop Foam M is a waterproof, self-expanding, one-component polyurethane foam, specially designed for filling, sealing, and bonding in hydraulic works and underground applications.

Thanks to its formulation, it is particularly suitable for bonding and sealing concrete water pipes, sewer manholes, cesspits, and underground structures, as well as for filling cavities and spaces around pipes.

The foam reacts with the moisture in the air, expanding and hardening quickly to create a stable closed-cell structure, characterised by good mechanical properties and high thermal and acoustic insulating power.

Mapepur Waterstop Foam M offers high adhesion to the main materials used in construction, including concrete, cement, bricks, wood, aluminium, and other metals. However, it does not adhere to polyethylene, silicone, or Teflon; with special substrates, it is advisable to carry out an adhesion test beforehand.

One of the distinctive features of Mapepur Waterstop Foam M is its resistance to water and hydraulic pressure up to 0,5 bar. It is also resistant to salt water, diluted acids and alkalis, and bacteria found in the ground, making it particularly suitable for underground applications and in the presence of moisture.

The M version is supplied in a pressurised 750 ml can and is designed for manual application, without the need to use a dedicated professional gun.

The surfaces must be solid, clean, and free from dust, oils, grease, or any other substances that could affect adhesion.

Before application, shake the can vigorously for about 30 seconds. Mapepur Waterstop Foam M is applied manually using the special dispensing tube.

To fill cavities and voids, extrude a sufficient amount of product to occupy about 50-60% of the available volume. The subsequent expansion of the foam will complete the filling.

When used as a sealing adhesive for plumbing elements, apply a continuous bead about 20-30 mm in diameter at the mid-thickness of the manufactured item.

Proceed with bonding within 5-6 minutes after application, before the surface film forms. After installation, it is advisable not to move the bonded elements for at least 24 hours.

The minimum substrate temperature during application is +5°C, while the optimum can temperature is between +20°C and +25°C.

Fresh foam can be removed with MapePUR Cleaner. Once hardened, removal must be carried out mechanically.

The can is a pressurised container and must be handled and disposed of in accordance with the applicable local regulations.

Do not puncture, burn, or tamper with the can, even after use. Do not release the remaining product into the environment, drains, or sewers.

If product residue remains, the packaging must not be treated as a normal household container: refer to the instructions on the label and on the product Safety Data Sheet, and dispose of it through the authorised collection systems provided locally.
