Mapei MapePUR Roof Foam G Adhesive Foam for Roofs, Roof Tiles and Tiles 750 ml

Mapei MapePUR Roof Foam G is a one-component, self-expanding adhesive polyurethane foam, specifically designed for the rapid bonding of building components, particularly suitable for fixing roof tiles and clay tiles on pitched roofs.

The MapePUR Roof Foam G version is designed for professional gun application using MapePUR Gun Standard or MapePUR Gun Special, allowing precise and controlled dispensing of the foam.

In addition to bonding roof tiles and clay tiles, MapePUR Roof Foam G can be used to fill, seal, and insulate gaps and discontinuities found in many construction details.

It is also suitable for:

• Bonding roof tiles and clay tiles on pitched roofs
• Bonding electrical components, such as cable conduits and junction boxes
• Bonding thermal and acoustic insulation boards on limited surfaces
• Bonding wood and plasterboard cladding panels on limited surfaces

After extrusion, the foam reacts with atmospheric moisture, expanding and hardening quickly to form a stable closed-cell structure with good mechanical properties and high thermal and acoustic insulation.

MapePUR Roof Foam G has a low confined volumetric expansion, a particularly important feature in bonding applications because it helps prevent the installed element from lifting.

The cured foam is waterproof and resistant to heat, cold, moisture, and aging.

MapePUR Roof Foam G has excellent adhesion to the main materials used in construction, including:

After curing, the foam can be cut, sanded, smoothed, drilled, coated with cement-based skim coats, or painted.

The surfaces must be solid, clean, and free of dust, oil, grease, or any substances that could compromise adhesion.

Before application, shake the can vigorously for about 20 seconds.

Then screw the can onto the threaded ring of the MapePUR Gun Standard gun or a compatible gun supplied by the manufacturer.

During application, keep the can upside down.

For bonding roof tiles, ridge tiles, and other components, apply the foam in beads or dots depending on the element to be fixed.

Position the elements to be bonded before a film forms on the foam surface.

The amount of product dispensed can be adjusted using the gun, allowing precise application and reducing waste.

Application conditions
Application temperature: from +5°C to +30°C
Recommended can temperature: from +20°C to +25°C
Skin formation time at +23°C and 50% RH: about 5-10 minutes
Cuttable: about 20-30 minutes
Fully cured: about 1.5-5 hours

Times may vary depending on temperature, ambient humidity, and the amount of foam applied.

Yield

Free expansion can reach approximately 45 liters per can.

For bonding roof tiles and ridge tiles, the actual yield depends on the application method, the size of the elements, and the characteristics of the substrate.

After application

Once fully cured, the foam can be:

Cut
Sanded
Smoothed
Drilled
Smoothed with cement-based products
Painted

For cleaning the gun and removing any remaining fresh polyurethane foam residue, Mapei MapePUR Cleaner can be used.

Fully cured foam must instead be removed mechanically.

Do not release MapePUR Roof Foam G, product residues, or packaging into the environment.

Any residues and contaminated packaging must be handled in compliance with current regulations and in accordance with the instructions provided in the Mapei Safety Data Sheet.

The can is a pressurised container and must be handled and disposed of in accordance with the instructions on the label and in the product safety documentation.

For correct disposal of the packaging, check the environmental labelling on the pack and the regulations of your local council or waste management provider.
