Mapei Mapefix V LP Vinylester Chemical Anchor for Structural Fixings

Mapei Mapefix V LP is a two-component chemical anchor based on solvent-free vinyl ester resin, designed to create high-performance structural fixings on numerous building materials.

Its formulation with extended workability makes it particularly suitable for professional applications and for use in hot climates or where installation temperatures are high.

Mapefix V LP is specifically designed for fixing steel and galvanized steel elements, threaded rods, and deformed reinforcing bars, allowing structural loads to be transferred to solid and hollow substrates.

It can be used on numerous building materials, including cracked and non-cracked concrete, lightweight concrete, cellular concrete, masonry, brick, stone, rock, wood, and calcium silicate products.

It is particularly suitable for structural fixings, starter bars, metal bars, and concrete anchors in both tension and compression zones. The absence of the typical stresses associated with mechanical expansion systems also makes it possible to carry out fixings close to edges or with reduced spacing.

Mapefix V LP can also be applied on damp or wet substrates, offering greater flexibility in different site conditions.

The product has ETA certifications for structural applications and is also certified for fixing additional reinforcement bars and for applications in seismic zones with C1 and C2 performance.

The size and depth of the hole, the diameter of the bar, and the applicable loads must be correctly dimensioned according to the type of fixing and the substrate.

Drill the hole in the material and carefully remove dust, loose particles, and residues. The substrate must be free of oils, grease, release agents, or other substances that could compromise adhesion.

Screw the static mixer onto the cartridge and insert it into the appropriate extrusion gun. Before use, discard the first extrusions of resin until a properly homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Fill the hole with Mapefix V LP starting from the bottom, avoiding trapping air and filling approximately 2/3 of the available volume.

Insert the metal bar into the hole with a slight rotary movement to the required depth. The escape of a small amount of excess resin allows you to verify correct filling.

Do not move or subject the fixing to loads before the resin has fully cured.

Do not apply when the air or substrate temperature is below +10°C.

For structural applications, the anchor design must be carried out in accordance with Mapei technical documentation and the applicable regulations.

Do not allow the product or any residues to be released into the environment, soil, drains, or sewers.

Any resin residues and contaminated packaging must be managed in accordance with current regulations and the instructions given in the Mapei Safety Data Sheet.

For the proper disposal of the completely empty packaging, check the environmental instructions shown on the package and the regulations of your local municipality or waste management provider.
