The Scotch-Brite Ultra Fine 7448+ hand pad is designed for paint preparation and metal surface finishing. Unlike steel wool, they do not break apart during use, do not generate rust, and do not leave fine metal splinters. They are flexible and durable.
Use the Scotch-Brite 7448+ manual pad for metal surface processing and preparation for painting. These pads are designed to stay cleaner and last longer than steel wool and, unlike the latter, they never break apart during use, do not generate rust afterwards, nor leave fine metal splinters; they are equipped with a silicon carbide grain, a very sharp synthetic mineral typically used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. Its compact particles provide consistent and uniform abrasive action throughout the life of the pad, and the mineral breaks down faster than aluminum oxide for a superior finish. They are designed to ensure ease of use, reach the most difficult corners and hard-to-reach surfaces without altering the dimensions of the base material. Usable for cleaning, finishing, and polishing without the need to adjust, turn, or replace the pad mid-operation.
