High-strength two-component paneling adhesive

SikaPower-4720 is a high strength, two component epoxy adhesive with excellent adhesion properties on a wide variety of substrates. It is specifically designed for bonding metal and composite panels. The glass balls ensure a uniform and optimal seam thickness of 0.25 mm. The adhesive cures at room temperature to form a rigid bond.

Benefits

  • High strength adhesion performance
  • Good adhesion on a wide variety of substrates without primer
  • Long open time
  • Fast hardening
  • No slipping or dripping
  • Can be spot welded (uncured)
  • Designed for optimal seam thickness
  • Accelerated curing with heat
  • Little smell
  • Excellent corrosion protection
  • Solvent free

Employments

SikaPower-4720 is suitable for bonding paneling exposed to high dynamic stresses such as door skins, rear body panels, roof or fenders. Use for body structure parts only in combination with spot welds or rivets, following the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations. Common substrates are metals, especially aluminum (including anodized and laminated), cold-rolled steel and FRP substrates. Metal sheets assembled with SikaPower-4720 (uncured) can be spot welded. This product is only suitable for experienced professional users. Tests with actual substrates and conditions must be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.
