Sikaflex® -255 FC is suitable for direct bonding of glass in the transport sector, both in the OEM and replacement market. This product is intended for use by professional users. Preliminary checks with substrates and specific application conditions are recommended to ensure perfect adhesion and material compatibility.

The REACH restriction is briefly explained below.

In August 2020, the European Union introduced a new REACH restriction on the use of products containing more than 0.1% monomeric diisocyanates.

These new rules will also apply to products such as polyurethane adhesives, sealants, coatings or injections used in industrial production.

The objective of this restriction is to reduce the health risks associated with diisocyanates by ensuring that workers handling these substances are adequately informed and trained.

Many users of polyurethanes in Europe will need to attend specific worker health and safety courses to continue using these materials.

The training courses are created with the aim of improving the health and safety of workers at work.

Employers are responsible for training employees by August 24, 2023.
