Sika Primer-215 is a colorless to slightly yellow solvent-based primer, which reacts with moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between substrates and adhesives. Sika Primer-215 is specifically formulated for the treatment of bonding surfaces prior to the application of one-part Sika polyurethanes.i.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Sika Primer-215 is used to improve adhesion on many plastics and wood such as GRP, epoxies, PVC, ABS and wood. Due to the wide variety of plastic materials, preliminary trials on original substrates under production conditions are mandatory. Seek manufacturer advice and test original substrates before using Sika Primer-215 on materials subject to stress cracking. This product is only suitable for experienced professional users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, tests with substrates under real conditions should be performed.i.

APPLICATION METHOD

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants. Adhesion to substrates can be improved by adding and/or combining pre-treatment processes such as abrasion, cleaning and activation prior to primer application.

Application

Apply a thin but covering layer of Sika Primer-215 using a brush, felt pad or sponge. The ideal application and surface temperature is between 15 C and 25 C. Sika Primer-215 should only be applied once. Care must be taken to ensure that this single application gives a sufficiently dense coverage. Consumption and method of application depend on the specific nature of the substrates. Close the container tightly immediately after each use.zzo.
