SURFACE PREPARATION:

APPLICATION:

Sikaflex-212 FC can be processed between 5 C and 35 C but variations in reactivity and application properties must be taken into consideration. The optimal temperature for substrates and sealant is between 15 C and 25 C.5 °C.

OVERPAINTING:

Sikaflex-212 FC can be painted before and after the skin formation time. If the painting process takes place after the sealant has formed a skin, the adhesion could be improved by treating the joint surface with Sika Aktivator-100 or Sika Aktivator-205 before the painting process. If the paint requires a baking process (>80C), best performance is obtained by first allowing the sealant to fully cure.
