MapePUR Thermo Stick M is a self-expanding foam packaged in a pressurized can for manual dispensing, while MapePUR Thermo Stick G requires the use of the specific MapePUR Gun Standard or MapePUR Gun Special. Both are one-component foams made from a mixture of polyurethane prepolymer, special blowing agents, and unique additives, completely free from CFCs and therefore not harmful to the ozone layer. Due to atmospheric humidity after extrusion, the products expand in volume and harden quickly, forming a stable closed-cell structure with excellent mechanical characteristics and high thermal and acoustic insulation properties. MapePUR Thermo Stick M and MapePUR Thermo Stick G are characterized by controlled confined volumetric expansion, to avoid lifting the bonded element, are waterproof, resistant to heat and cold from -30°C to +80°C, humidity, and aging. The foams have excellent adhesion to all materials used in construction such as bricks, concrete, plaster, wood, metals, glass, expanded polystyrene, PVC, and rigid polyurethane foams. After curing, the foam produced by MapePUR Thermo Stick M and MapePUR Thermo Stick G can be cut, sanded, polished, drilled, and coated with cementitious finishes or paints. The products, evaluated according to the German standard DIN 4102, belong to the flammability class B3.
