Sika Activator Cleaner 205 Sikaflex activator cleaner 250ml - 1LT - 5LT

Sika® Aktivator-205 is a transparent solvent-based adhesion promoter that reacts with moisture and deposits active groups on the substrate. These groups act as a link between substrates and primers or sealants/adhesives. Sika® Aktivator-205 is designed for the treatment of surfaces to be bonded before the application of Sikaflex® and Sikasil® adhesives and sealants.  

Uses

Sika® Aktivator-205 is used to improve adhesion on non-porous substrates such as metals, plastics, ceramic screen prints, and painted surfaces. Consult the manufacturer and conduct tests on the original substrates before using Sika® Aktivator-205 on materials subject to stress cracking. This product is suitable only for experienced professional users. To ensure adhesion and compatibility of materials, it is necessary to conduct tests with the substrates under real conditions.

APPLICATION METHOD
Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, dust, and contaminants. Adhesion on substrates can be improved by adding and/or combining pretreatment processes such as abrasion and cleaning before applying the activator.
Application
Wipe the area to be bonded with a clean, lint-free paper towel that is dampened (not wet) with Sika® Aktivator-205. Never dip the towel in the activator and only wipe the surface with a clean side. Do not dampen the same paper towel twice, and change it frequently. Sika® Aktivator-205 should be applied sparingly as excess activator may cause adhesion failure. If the pretreated area is not bonded within the maximum flash-off time, the activation process must be repeated (only once). The ideal application temperature and surface temperature is between 15 °C and 25 °C. Consumption and application method depend on the specific nature of the substrates. Seal the container tightly immediately after each use.

Cap: HDPE2 - Plastic collection.
Recycle only if perfectly clean and empty.
Otherwise, recycle at appropriate ecological centers.
